So the cats out of the bag ! I am planning an over the top (of course) first birthday and the theme is .... Drum roll....

Tinnie Bears County Fair ! We a throwing a full blown fair with games, prizes and ofcourse  Fair food !!! I have been designing her birthday invites since she was about 6 months old... A labor of love to say the least but they came out just as I had hoped ! Let me know what you girls think ; ) 

Knock on wood

It's time to open a bottle of bubbly and celebrate ! This morning marks the THIRD day in a row that Tinsley has slept through the night !!! Woo hoo !!! She has not slept through the night since she was 27 weeks old. I am not sure if this will last but 3 nights in a row of blissful wonderful magical sleep has been intoxicating. I had forgotten how well I function on a full nights rest. It had become a distant memory... But now that I have gotten a taste of the good old days I am hoping baby girl keeps this up ! Fingers crossed... And my toes ! Let this be the new and improved sleep schedule !

Fast Forward

Someone stepped on my life's fast forward button again ! Time is flying and birthday plans are in full effect ! Can we not talk about how my baby is going to be one in a matter of weeks (cue the crying) or let's not talk about the fact that I am still nursing a 10 months old 3 times during the night. (Yep I am that mom) and I was only going to nurse for 6 months... Ha ! 

Tinsley is 10 months old and I didn't get to do her post so here's what she's up to in a nut shell:

Words: Ma ma Da Da Ba Bi (bye bye) hi and Uh Oh ! (Everything is Uh Oh right now lol) 

Signs: all done, more, water, hi, bye, kisses and doggie

Loves to: sing, dance, clap & snap her fingers.

Has figured out: how to drink from a cup & straw. how to open EVERYTHING. Shampoo bottles, lotion, nail polish... If it has a cap it's coming off. Climbs the stairs, zippers and how to take off her diaper

Favorite food: chicken,  fruit, all veggies and her sippy straw cup 

Can stand on her own and is cruising but still hasn't taken her first step. It's coming she just needs to trust her legs.

Favorite song: firework by Katy Perry

Favorite Book: Llama llama 

Has three teeth: two bottom and one on the top. (She has all four coming in on top at the moment) fun fun fun ! 

Every day is something new and wonderful and I can not believe how blessed and crazy this life we have been given is. It is an adventure every single day and I just love every ounce of it ! 

Memorial Day

This weekend as we fire up the BBQs and enjoy the long weekend lets all pause and say a prayer for the families who have an empty chair at their dinner tables this memorial day. Pray for those who are missing their father, mother, brother, or sister... a cherished member of their family who sacrificed their life while defending our liberties. Give thanks and remember our brave soldiers. 

This Memorial Day I will be thinking of Tommy McPherson who leaves behind his wife and son and the empty chair that will be at their table.  I went to high school with Tommy and he passed away earlier this year while deployed. A true hero and so young. My heart still aches for his family. God bless them. 

Welcome to this world

This morning my sister had her first little girl. My heart was so heavy as I didn't make it to the hospital in time to welcome her (I have been there for all her births in he room) I sat in traffic and cried like a small child. She went from a 2cm-10 in 20 Minutes ! As soon as I got to the hospital all was forgotten... She is absolutely perfect. I am so in love with my little niece ! Tinsley and her are going to be the very best of friends.

Life lately

Today Tinsley turned 10 months old. I can't barley believe how incredibly fast the time has gone. I officially have her birthday planed but I hope the next two months go by painfully slow. I will post her official 10 mo. Photo on Monday but for now here is our week according to Instagram. 

My sister is having her baby this weekend and we are just so thrilled to be welcoming baby girl no. 2 to the family ! 

  

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers day to all you mommies and mommies to be today ! Hoping you all enjoy your special day with the ones you love and of course your mothers ! Who would we be if it wasn't their examples that taught us unconditional love. Count your blessings.

Today Tinsley woke me up with Starbucks, 3 cards and a beautiful rosé gold necklace with a diamond pave T ! She must follow my Pinterest wish list ; ) Then I was kidnaped and taken to the happiest place on earth for a few rides and lunch at my favorite spot in the park Carthy Circle ! Such a memorable first Mother's Day ! My husband out did himself.
